Constructions

Same print.Six different socks.

Height and colour are the choices people arrive with. Construction is the one that decides how the sock actually wears — how thick it sits in a shoe, whether it cushions, whether it grips. All 6 take the same full-colour print, so this is a separate decision from how it looks.

Thickness is the mill's own 1–5 rating, not a measurement — 1 is a dress-sock weight, 5 is a heavy boot sock. 2 of the 6 sit outside the online price ladder because they cost materially more to make; message us and you get a price back, not a form.

What each one is for.

Every construction below is knit on our own machines in Zhuji, Zhejiang. Not sure which one? Tell us what the socks are for and we'll pick.

Flat knit

Standard / lightweight basic

The plainest build we make, and the one most orders start on. Even surface, nothing added underfoot.

Thickness1 out of 5, thin to thick
  • Regular knit structure
  • Lightweight and breathable
  • Lowest cost per pair
Best for
  • Everyday wear
  • Promotional runs and gifts
  • Logo socks

Athletic

Cushioned sole / half terry

Terry loops on the sole only. The cushioning sits where the impact is and nowhere else, so the sock still fits a normal shoe.

Thickness2 out of 5, thin to thick
  • Terry cushioning on the sole
  • Reduces impact and friction
  • Keeps feet dry
Best for
  • Running and gym
  • Training
  • Daily sport

Full cushion

Full terry

Terry loops through the whole sock, not just the sole. The warmest and softest thing on this page — and the one that needs a boot or a trainer with room in it.

Thickness4 out of 5, thin to thick
  • Terry cushioning throughout
  • Extra soft, maximum comfort
  • Noticeably warmer
Best for
  • Basketball
  • Hiking and outdoor
  • Cold weather
  • Work and boot socks

Ribbed

Rib knit

Vertical ribbing top to toe. More give than a flat knit, and it comes back to shape after a wash rather than bagging at the ankle.

Thickness2 out of 5, thin to thick
  • Rib knit structure
  • More stretch, more secure fit
  • Classic look
Best for
  • Streetwear
  • Casual wear
  • Everyday sport

Performance

Breathable + support

Mesh panels over the instep to vent heat, and a knitted-in arch band that stops the sock sliding inside the shoe on a long day.

Thickness3 out of 5, thin to thick
  • Breathable mesh zones
  • Arch support band
  • Moisture-wicking, quick dry
Best for
  • High-intensity sport
  • Endurance activities
  • Long hours on your feet
  • Sweaty feet

Grip

Anti-slip / silicone sole

Silicone dots printed onto the sole after knitting. This is the build behind our yoga socks, and the one hospitals and hotels order.

Thickness2 out of 5, thin to thick
  • Silicone grip on the sole
  • Traction on wood and tile
  • Prevents slipping
Best for
  • Yoga and pilates
  • Dance
  • Hospitals and hotels
  • Home and indoor

4 of them price themselves

Flat knit, Athletic, Ribbed and Performance are on the standard ladder — same per-pair price as each other, at every quantity. Pick one in step 1 of the builder and the quote updates as you go.

Full cushion and Grip are quoted

Full terry uses roughly twice the yarn, and a grip sole is a second process after the sock comes off the machine. Neither fits one flat ladder honestly, so we price them against your actual run instead of guessing high to be safe.

Construction changes the body of the sock, not the artwork. Whichever you pick, printed colour stays unlimited and knit-in colour comes from the same yarn chart.

Tell us what they're for. We'll pick the build.

Marathon, hotel floor, winter boot, giveaway — that's enough to answer this page for you.
